A note from our kitchen: why we started cooking biryani again
Some 25 years ago, we packed our bags in Bihar and made Noida home. NCR has given us a lot over the years: friends, work, a whole new life. But there was one thing it never quite gave us. A good biryani.
Don’t get us wrong, there’s no shortage of it here. There are a hundred biryanis around, and every app will get one to your door in 30 minutes. But none of them tasted like the biryani we grew up with in Patna, or the kind Lucknow is famous for. Most of it is bland. Quickly made, or merely assembled. Same rice, same gravy, same box, every time.

Here’s the honest truth: biryani is not a 30-minute dish. It never was.
- No marination, no flavour. If chicken or mutton isn’t marinated for 8 to 12 hours, the taste never reaches the meat.
- No basmati, no aroma. If the rice isn’t basmati, the fragrance is gone before you even open the lid.
- No dum, no biryani. Without dum, it’s just rice with a few chicken pieces sitting on top.
- The masala? The less said the better. Almost everyone is using ready-made packets.
- And ghee? “Too expensive, who will put it?” is the usual answer.

So we decided to stop complaining and start cooking. We brought something out of our own kitchen. First, we trained our karigar, patiently, until the biryani tasted the way we remembered it. Then, for two whole years, we served it at our own parties and events. Our guests gave us feedback, lots of it, and we listened. We modified, we improved, and we kept at it until we were proud of every single plate.
And this Diwali, it’s finally ready to stand on its own. ✨

You don’t need to book an entire catering to enjoy it. No full menu, no event package. Just order the biryani for your house party of 10, 15 or 20 guests. Give us 12 hours, and see the magic happen.

Frequently asked questions
How much does biryani for 10 people cost in Delhi NCR?
Our all-inclusive pack for 10 guests is ₹6,000 for boneless chicken biryani, ₹6,500 for chicken biryani with leg pieces only, and ₹8,500 for mutton biryani with bone. Raita and salad are included; delivery is charged at actual cost.
How much biryani do I need for 20 guests, and what does it cost?
Order the 20-guest pack and the quantity is planned for you. It costs ₹11,000 for boneless chicken, ₹11,500 for chicken leg pieces and ₹14,500 for mutton with bone, which works out to ₹550 to ₹725 per guest.
How early do I need to order?
At least 12 hours in advance. The meat is marinated for 8 to 12 hours before it goes on dum, so we cannot make it in 30 minutes, and that is exactly why it tastes different.
Do you deliver to Gurugram, CR Park, Dwarka and Noida?
Yes. We deliver across Delhi NCR, including Gurugram, South and East Delhi (CR Park, Greater Kailash, Kalkaji, Mayur Vihar), Dwarka, Noida, Greater Noida West, Ghaziabad and Faridabad. Delivery goes by Rapido or Porter and is charged at actual cost.
What comes with the biryani?
Every pack comes with raita and salad.
Is this the same biryani families from Bihar or Lucknow grew up with?
That is the taste we chase: meat marinated overnight, aged basmati, real ghee and a proper dum, with no ready-made masala. Our founder grew up with Patna’s biryani and built this recipe over two years of serving it at our own parties.
Do I need to book full catering to order the biryani?
No. The biryani is sold on its own for house parties of 10, 15 or 20 guests. You don’t need to book a full catering package.
Is the price all-inclusive?
Yes, the pack prices are all-inclusive. The only extra is delivery, charged at the actual Rapido or Porter fare.
