The Standard Bhandara Menu
Poori, aloo or chana sabzi, halwa, chawal, kadhi or dal, boondi raita, achar and kheer, all cooked fresh at the site in bulk vessels. Chhole bhature, khichdi or kadhi chawal can replace items where the organisers prefer. Everything satvik, without onion and garlic.
What Makes a Bhandara Run Well
- Cooking on site in bulk so food stays hot and does not run out mid-queue
- Multiple serving lines instead of one, which halves the waiting time
- Separate lines or seating for elders, women and children where the organisers want it
- Dona, pattal, plates and water arrangements, plus dustbins and waste clearing
- Support for your volunteers, who usually want to serve themselves — our staff refill and manage the kitchen behind them
Frequently Asked Questions
How many people can you serve?
From a small society bhandara of a few hundred to large temple bhandaras. Tell us the expected number and the hours it must run, and we plan quantities with a margin.
Can our volunteers serve the food?
Yes, and most organisers prefer that. We cook, refill and manage the counters while your volunteers do the serving.
Do you clear the site afterwards?
Yes. Waste collection and cleanup are part of the job, which matters for roadside and society bhandaras.
