A hill wedding is beautiful and genuinely harder to run than one in a Noida banquet. There is no market next door, no backup vendor an hour away, and no second chance if the tandoor or the sound system did not make it onto the truck. We take our own team, our own equipment and our own kitchen setup with us — the same crew that runs your functions at home.

Riverside resorts along the Ganga, Tapovan and Shivpuri properties, ashram-style venues for a quiet ceremony, and terraces with the river below. Best for couples who want the pheras with water and hills in every photograph.
Dehradun
Resorts and banquet lawns around the city, estates on the Mussoorie road, and venues close to Jolly Grant airport. Easier logistics than Rishikesh, more hotel rooms, and simpler for older relatives travelling up.

Fresh flowers, vegetables and dairy are sourced locally on the morning of each function, which is better than carrying them up the hill.
A Three-Day Wedding, Function by Function
Day 1 — arrival, haldi, mehendi
Welcome drinks and a light lunch as guests arrive tired from the drive. Marigold haldi setup outdoors in the morning light, then mehendi in the afternoon with chaat counters and dhol.
Day 2 — sangeet
Stage, dance floor and lighting outdoors, sangeet performances, a bar and live counters, dinner late. Hill venues get cold after dark, so we plan heaters and a covered seating area.
Day 3 — wedding and vidaai
Baraat, bridal entry, pheras at the mandap, dinner from the full wedding menu, then breakfast the next morning before everyone drives back.
What Makes Hill Weddings Different
- Weather decides the layout. Every outdoor function gets a covered alternative planned in advance, not improvised on the day.
- Power is not guaranteed. We plan a generator for the kitchen, sound and lighting, since a cut mid-sangeet is not a risk worth taking.
- Guests are together for three days. The food has to vary across nine or ten meals, not repeat the same buffet.
- Rishikesh has local rules. Parts of the area are vegetarian-only and alcohol-free, and noise limits near the river apply. We plan within them rather than promising something your venue will refuse.
- Elderly guests need looking after. Early tea, simple food on request, and seating out of the cold.

What does a destination wedding cost compared to Noida?
The food itself is quoted from our usual wedding rates, starting at ₹899 per plate veg and ₹1,399 non-veg plus 5% GST. On top of that come travel, transport of equipment, and stay for the team, which is quoted openly as a separate line so you can see exactly what the hills are costing you.
How many guests can you handle up there?
Most hill weddings are 80 to 250 guests, which suits these venues. Larger is possible where the property can hold it.
When should we book?
Earlier than a city wedding. Good properties in Rishikesh and Dehradun are taken months ahead for peak season, and our team dates need blocking alongside.
