Please read this first. Panchang sources differ by a day or two, because muhurat depends on the almanac followed, the city’s sunrise, and the tradition your family keeps. The dates below are compiled from commonly referenced panchang sources and are for planning only. Always confirm your final date and the lagna with your family pandit, who will also check it against the bride’s and groom’s charts.
The Season at a Glance
- 21 November 2026 — Dev Uthani (Prabodhini) Ekadashi. Chaturmas ends, weddings resume
- Mid-December 2026 to mid-January 2027 — Kharmas / Malmas. The Sun transits Dhanu, and no weddings are performed. Dates resume after Makar Sankranti
- Early March 2027 — Holashtak, the eight days before Holi, when ceremonies are avoided
- From July 2027 — the season winds down again as Chaturmas approaches
November 2026
21, 24, 25, 26 November. A short window, but a busy one, because it is the first wedding stretch after four months of Chaturmas. Sources agree on the 21st, 25th and 26th; some also list the 24th.
21 November is the single most in-demand date of this season. If you are considering it, venues, caterers and décor teams in NCR are being booked for it already.
December 2026
Roughly 3, 4, 6, 10 and 12 December, with some panchangs listing up to seven days in the first fortnight. After about 16 December there are no dates, as Kharmas begins and runs until mid-January.
January 2027
Dates resume after Makar Sankranti, with around 9 to 10 muhurats: 18, 19, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 30 and 31 January. Unlike January 2026, this month is open, because Venus is not combust.

February 2027
One of the strongest months of the season, with around a dozen dates: 2, 3, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15, 21, 22, 25, 26, 27 and 28 February. The 14th and 15th are widely rated the best dates of the year, as Rohini Nakshatra falls on them.
March 2027
A limited month. Holashtak, the eight days before Holi, falls in early March, and ceremonies are avoided through it. A few dates exist before Holashtak begins, so if you are looking at March, check your specific date against the Holashtak window for your region before booking anything.
April 2027
The season picks up again through Chaitra, with a good spread of dates across the month and comfortable weather for outdoor functions before the heat sets in. Counts vary between sources, so take your shortlist to your pandit.
May 2027
The busiest wedding month of 2027, with roughly 18 dates. 7 May is singled out across sources as one of the year’s strongest, again on Rohini Nakshatra. Expect venues, caterers and flower rates in NCR to be at their tightest through this month.
June 2027
Another full month, with around 16 dates: 1, 5, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27 and 28 June. The last big stretch before the season closes for Chaturmas.
What This Means for Your Planning
Two things follow from the calendar above, and both affect your budget.
Peak dates get expensive. When a thousand families in NCR want 21 November or 7 May, flower mandi rates rise, good tent and light teams are booked out, and banquet halls quote their top price. A date two days either side of a headline muhurat often costs noticeably less for exactly the same wedding.
Book in the order that matters. Venue and guest count first, then caterer and décor, then music and photography. Our wedding planning timeline lays out what to do at six months, three months, one month and one week.
Once Your Date Is Fixed
We handle the whole wedding from one team: catering with pure veg and non-veg menus, mandap and stage décor, entrance and welcome setups, DJ and sound, dhol and baraat, photography, and staff, across Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad and farmhouse venues.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why do different websites show different muhurat dates?
Because muhurat is calculated from sunrise at a specific place, using a specific almanac, and different traditions apply slightly different rules about which nakshatras and tithis qualify. A day’s difference between two sources is normal. Your family pandit’s panchang is the one that counts.
Why are there no dates from mid-December to mid-January?
That is Kharmas, when the Sun transits Dhanu. Auspicious ceremonies are not begun during it, and dates resume after Makar Sankranti.
How far ahead should we book vendors for a peak date?
For 21 November 2026 or the February and May peaks, four to six months is sensible. For an off-peak weekday, six to eight weeks is usually workable.
Can you cater more than one wedding on the same date?
We take on what we can staff properly, and we will tell you plainly if a date is already committed rather than stretching a team across two venues.
